How to play ChampSheep
Everything you need to start predicting, from your first pick to your league's final table.
1.Choose a competition
Open Play and pick a competition: the Champions League, one of Europe's big leagues, a cup or the Copa Libertadores. Each one is a game of its own, and you can play several at once. You can try your picks without an account; sign in with your email or with Google to save them and compete.
2.Predict the scores
For each match, enter the score you expect. In a knockout match, a draw needs one more choice: who wins the penalty shootout, because that is the side you back to go through. Some tournaments also ask you to name their top scorer.
3.Know when picks close
A pick stays open until its match kicks off, and you can change it as often as you like until then. A knockout tie played over two legs closes when its first leg kicks off, both legs together; a pick on a later round closes when the first of the matches that lead to it kicks off.
4.Score points
Each match can earn up to 101 points: 56 for the right result (a win, a draw or a loss), all or nothing; up to 17 for the goal difference and up to 14 for each side's goals, which shrink the further off your score is. In a knockout match part of the result's points goes to backing the side that goes through, and in a tournament the later rounds multiply everything, so the final is worth the most.
5.Play with friends in a league
Create a league from Leagues, give it a name and share its invite link: whoever opens it can join. A league ranks its members by the points they score in the competitions it follows, and it can keep several boards, say one for the whole season and one for the knockout rounds. You can create up to 50 leagues, each with as many members as you like.
6.Join at any time
You can start in the middle of a competition and predict every match still to come. In a tournament with knockout rounds, a new track opens as each stage ends, against the teams that really made it through, so a bad group stage never locks you out.
7.Follow the results
Picks holds your predictions; Scores, the real scores as they happen; Standings, the tables, both the real ones and the ones your picks imply; and Leagues, your leagues and where you stand in each.
8.See what everyone predicted
A match's page shows the share of players who backed each result once 20 have predicted it, and each round has a page comparing their calls with what happened: the favorites that won, and the results almost nobody saw coming.
