Terms of Service
Welcome to ChampSheep! These Terms of Service govern your use of our prediction game platform. By using our service, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ChampSheep, and older where the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a service like this. You must be at least 18 — or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher — to buy a subscription. By creating an account you confirm that you meet the age requirement that applies to you.
2. Account Creation
- You must provide a valid email address
- Choose a unique username
- Maintain the security of your account
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
3. Acceptable Use
When using ChampSheep, you agree not to:
- Use offensive or inappropriate language in usernames, league names, or match chat messages
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Attempt to manipulate game results or scoring
- Share accounts or credentials with others
- Use automated systems to make predictions
- Organize, promote, or facilitate betting, wagering, entry fees, or any real-money competition through ChampSheep leagues or content
- Engage in any illegal activity
4. Predictions and Scoring
- Predictions must be submitted before a match starts
- Scores are calculated based on official match results
- Leaderboards are updated automatically
- We reserve the right to correct scoring errors
5. Leagues
- Public leagues are visible to all users
- Private leagues require an invitation code
- League creators can moderate their members
- We may remove a username, league name, league listing, or chat message that is unlawful or breaks the Acceptable Use rules above. Where we do, we tell the person who posted it what we removed and why, and they can reply to that message to contest the decision and have a person review it
- Anyone — user or not — can report content they believe is illegal by emailing hello@champsheep.com with a link or the exact name, and an explanation of why it is unlawful. We confirm receipt, decide without undue delay, and tell the reporter the outcome
- hello@champsheep.com is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the Digital Services Act. We accept communications in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese
- A Certified league carries a badge showing that we have reviewed and approved it. We grant it at our discretion and only after review: before deciding we may ask you for more information about the league or about the person running it, and we may decline if that information is not provided. We may withdraw a Certified badge at any time — including if the league changes hands, if the information we relied on turns out to be wrong or out of date, or if the league breaks these terms. We tell the league creator when we withdraw one and why, and they can reply to that message to contest the decision and have a person review it
- Match chat messages you send in a league room are visible to every member of that league; messages in the Global room are public. ChampSheep, and a league's creator and admins for their league's rooms, can read chat messages to moderate them. Moderators can remove a message, mute a member for a match, or lock a room, but moderating a room never changes a user's account or points — only ChampSheep acts on accounts.
6. Paid Subscriptions and Payments
Supporter, Captain, and Legend are optional recurring subscriptions. The core prediction game remains available for free.
You must be at least 18 years old — or the age of majority where you live, if that is higher — to purchase a subscription or provide a payment method. The free game remains available from age 13.
- Subscriptions are sold by Polar as merchant of record and authorised reseller. Your purchase contract for the subscription is with Polar, which handles payment processing, applicable taxes, invoices, receipts, and refunds. ChampSheep provides the service your subscription gives you access to, and these Terms govern that service. We remain your point of contact for anything to do with your plan, including a refund, which we arrange with Polar on your behalf.
- New subscriptions are annual and each purchase covers a 12-month membership. The first membership sold under these Terms covers the full 2026/27 Champions League season. The price, currency, inclusive tax treatment, and 12-month billing period are shown before you confirm a purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for successive 12-month periods at the same price until you cancel. We email you a reminder before each renewal, in time for you to cancel if you do not want it. You can cancel at any time — from your billing page, from the cancellation page linked in the footer without signing in, or by emailing hello@champsheep.com — and you keep your paid benefits until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- An upgrade to a higher tier takes effect after its immediate prorated charge is paid. A downgrade takes effect at renewal and does not create a prorated credit unless mandatory law requires one.
Some subscriber features become available after launch. When you subscribe, the features included in your plan and when each becomes available are shown on the pricing page and form part of your subscription. Ad-free browsing starts immediately. WOOL and boosts start with the first scored match of the 2026/27 Champions League season. Verified and Certified leagues, flair and crests arrive soon after that season starts. If a feature is materially delayed beyond what the pricing page states, you may ask us to supply it and, if we do not, cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of your subscription.
We may change subscriber features during your subscription — for example how WOOL is earned or spent, how the WOOL standings are worked out, or how boosts work — where there is a good reason to, such as keeping the game balanced and fair, adapting to a change in the competitions we cover, or a technical or legal requirement. A change of this kind never costs you more than the price you are already paying. If a change would make your subscriber features materially worse, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you may cancel free of charge within 30 days of that notice or of the change taking effect, whichever is later, and receive a refund of the unused part of your subscription.
A paid plan lets you apply for a Certified league and reserves a slot for one while your subscription is active. It does not by itself make a league Certified — that decision is ours, and we make it as described in the Leagues section above. A Verified badge is different: it simply marks a league run by a subscriber, you apply it yourself, and it needs no approval. If we decline an application, or withdraw a Certified badge because a league broke these terms or the information we relied on was wrong, that is not a feature we have failed to supply and does not by itself entitle you to a refund. If we withdraw Certified for any other reason, the paragraph above on changes to subscriber features applies.
WOOL is an in-game balance with no cash value. It cannot be purchased, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for money or for anything outside ChampSheep. It never affects the prediction competition: competitive points, your place in the points standings, and tie-breakers are identical whether or not you subscribe, and a paid plan buys no advantage in that competition. WOOL has its own separate standings, showing WOOL earned less what boosts have won or lost. Only subscribers earn WOOL from their predictions; burning WOOL on boosts, and winning or losing it that way, is open to every account that holds a balance. The standings use the same participant list as the points standings, so a player who holds no WOOL appears at zero and a player whose boosts have lost may appear below it; they award no prize and nothing of monetary value, and they have no bearing on the competition or on any competitive ranking. Boosts spend WOOL and may increase or reduce it, and with it your place in those standings — but nothing of monetary value is ever staked or awarded. WOOL is not property, and no balance is owed to you in money or in kind. We may change how WOOL is earned or spent, or discontinue it, in accordance with the paragraph on changes to subscriber features above; if we discontinue it, any remaining balance simply ends, because it never had cash value.
ChampSheep is free to play and free to win. There is no entry fee, no stake, and no prize of monetary value. A subscription pays for subscriber features and nothing else: it never buys competitive points, a place in the competition's standings, entries, or any advantage in the prediction game, and paid and free players compete on exactly the same terms. The separate WOOL standings described above track subscriber WOOL activity rather than form part of that competition — they award nothing, decide nothing, and carry no prize.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. A full approved refund or chargeback ends the related paid entitlement and reverses WOOL earned through that subscription.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of taking it out, without giving a reason. Our model withdrawal instructions and the model withdrawal form are on the Refund Policy page.
Separately, and going beyond that right, we promise every subscriber the same thing on every charge, wherever you live: write to hello@champsheep.com within 14 days of any charge, including a renewal charge, and we refund it in full. No reason and no particular wording are required. A full refund ends the subscription's paid benefits and reverses the WOOL earned through it, returning your balance to where it would have been. You do not need to withdraw in order to stop a renewal — you can cancel at any time from your billing page.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable statutory withdrawal or cancellation right.
7. Intellectual Property
ChampSheep and all associated content are our property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without written permission. Match data is provided for entertainment purposes only.
8. Limitation of Liability
ChampSheep is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Data loss or service interruptions
- Inaccurate match information
- Disputes between users
- Any indirect or consequential damages
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law and Where Disputes Are Heard
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Those rules continue to apply to you in full, and where they give you more than these Terms do, or conflict with them, they prevail.
You may bring proceedings against us either in the courts of Delaware or in the courts of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, we will bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the country where you live.
